The Full Story

it$.dubl.aye was born and raised growing up in the coastal town of Port Macquarie on the mid-north coast of NSW, before moving to Newcastle at around 24 years old. it$.dubl.aye lived in the housing estates of Raymond Terrace for a period of time and a couple of years into living in the Hunter, he found himself developing a musical talent where he started writing rap songs to escape dark and heavy emotional filled ruts he was stuck in as an outlet to vent his pain. This later on led him to moving to the city of Sydney where he spent and dedicated 3 years to studying an audio engineering degree with the goal of becoming a professional sound engineer as well as being an independent artist. His mindset was, "I don't want to pay and rely on other people to have work done on their schedule. I want to learn different skills and have a vast amount of knowledge when it comes to music and be in control of my music". 

it$.dubl.aye takes inspiration and influence from primarily international artists and bands. Most of these influences are underground, yet very successful artists; like Ekoh, NF,  Hopsin, Tech N9ne, and Ryan Oakes to name a few. As well as bands inspiring it$.dubl.aye's heavy metal influence; like I prevail, Memphis may fire, Linkin Park, and Lo Spirit.

The biggest highlights of it$.dubl.aye's upcoming career is being given the opportunities to perform live on stage in front of a public audience, and meeting and connecting with Ric Laurance of Endow Music Group who eventually became Duble A's music manager, with collaborations with Kash King and Personal Space, with many more collaborations on the cards for the near future.

 

Musical Style

it$dubl.aye’s music is characterized by intricate thought provoking lyrics and multisyllabic rhymes that are treated as a puzzle. His lyricism contains a lot of analogies, wordplay, metaphors, double meaning entendres, bending and annunciating syllables that would otherwise not rhyme, to make it rhyme like it's a surgical procedure fitting syllables together that match, and has the ability of dissecting syllables to make different words sound identical. it$.dubl.aye doesn't substitute or compromise on lyricism and holds himself to a very high standard in songwriting which can be deeply appreciated and recognised by other artists around him with some vouching he has "some of the most intelligently put together lyrics in the underground scene". it$.dubl.aye's vocal style differs from the average stereotype rapper of the aus rap scene. There is a lot of jargon, cultural profanity and dirty slang within the Australian scene which it$.dubl.aye veers away from, very careful on the words he chooses to deliver taking his craft seriously, and recently has began pushing his vocal capabilities and dynamics to create his own unique style that no other artist is doing with heavy metal inspired scream vocals and melodic singing.

Letter to Amy by it$.dubl.aye is the most emotionally touching song he has made, it doesn't receive a great deal of views however when performed live, It's that one song that catches the audience's attention the most with audience's captivated by the expressed pain they can relate to and connect with.
